POPULAR ICs(integrated circuits) AND THEIR COMMON USE

As we know that we are living in high complex and high tech era and our life has changed by the electronics ,on one side professionalised makes gadgets which Worth's some rupees/dollars, but on the other hand some hobbies wants to make their own as hobby as well as for money saving.
So for hobiest it is very hard to select which one IC or electronic component is required in their small projects so i have here a list of popular ICs and their functions.....

1: LM386:
      This simple 8 pin ic is used as auidio amplifier.

2:LM317:

        This simple 3 pin ic is used to build adjustable power supply for your own.

3: 78xx FAMILY: This family of transistors are used as voltage regulators e.g 7803,7805,7806,7809,7812 and 7824 etc. voltage regulators mean when their output is fixed from variable voltage, the later two digits shows the output voltage e.g output voltage of 7805 is 5V when voltage higher than 5v is applied.similarly.

7803= 3v

7805= 5v

7806= 6v

7809= 9v

7812= 12v

7824=24v
