HOW TO DELETE FILES/FOLDER THAT SAYS " NO LONGER LOCATED"

Some time if we delete a folder or a filr its goes to error and says that "file no longer exists in the drive" so waht we will do?? we will delete it using CMD.

  • first of all search for CMD in windows seven or win8.
  • right click on cmd and select " open as administrator "
  • now type cd/d L
  • now to goto the file or folder that you want to delete and right click on it nad select properties, in th properties tab you will see the location, copy that location and replace instead of  L in the above code.
eg.
  • hit enter
  • Now type DIR /X
  • hit enter
it will show all the folders in that drive
  • now type  rmdir /q /s FN
in the above write your file name instead of FN and
 HIT ENTER.
